Ahmet Sözen gave a speech on the Cyprus problem and the negotiation process to the graduate students from John Hopkins University which is one of the most prestigous university of the USA.

A group of graduate student from the John Hopkins University, visited Cyprus Policy Center during their research program in South and North Cyprus. The group was headed by William Zartman who is an expert on the Conflict Resolution and Terrence Hopmann with a lot of experience on Conflict Management. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Sözen gave a speech on the Cyprus Problem and the negotiation process to the students in the Cyprus Policy Center. The conference povided information to the students about the historical backgroud of the Cyprus problem, main problems between Greek and Turkish Cypriots and ongoing negotiation process. At the end of the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Sözen answered the questions of the students, about the Cyprus problem.
